2025 Remote Shipping Orders: We are Open for Remote Orders from July 14th to August 25th (The Last Day to submit 2025 Remote Orders is August 24th. The last of our 2025 orders will ship August 25th.
When do we take Orders:
Early/SPRING SHIPPING
Approximate Dates We Start Shipping by USDA Hardiness Zone –
- Zones 9-10: Late April
- Zone 8: Late April
- Zone 7: First Part of May
- Zone 6: First Part of May
- Zone 5: Mid May
- Zones 2-4: Late May
We ship anywhere in the United States during the months of June and July.
In late summer we do stop shipping to Zones 2-4 because we would be competing with the cold and the plants might not be viable.
We ship during the month of August to Zones 5-10 only.
We do not currently take orders thru our site directly. We do, however, offer Remote Orders, meaning that you call or e-mail us an order. Orders are processed over the weekend, during retail hours. We will check e-mails and return calls and accept payment during our weekend business hours. We dig the daylilies during the week and we will ship out the following Monday. We will contact you during our weekend hours to process payment. Once we do, we can discuss what we have in stock and we will schedule a date for pick up or if we are shipping to you, then you will be contacted the following Monday to be updated with a shipping ETA.

5 Acre Farm Daylilies LLC is having a daylily picture contest. Send us pictures of any and all cultivars that we sell here on the farm. There will be prizes for people who send the most, good quality photos of daylilies to us. We are giving out various rewards for photos we receive. We have lost access to our original site. This site won't be fully functional until sometime over the winter. We are working with less than 100 photos of our over 800 daylily cultivars. Several of the daylilies we no longer need photos of as we have got rid of them in the clump sale. So any pictures anyone has would be of great use. Sending photos to us via the contest does constitute giving us permission to use the photos on our site. We have no effective way to list what photos we need or don't need as there are over 800 daylilies on the property and no one wants to read a list of over 800 anything. We have can pick thru what we do and don't need and regardless of if it is useful to us or not, participation does get you discounts. Mention having submitted pictures to us when you place a remote order or when you purchase from us in person and we will verify and apply a discount.
All submissions are sent to us with the understanding that you are giving us permission to use the photo anywhere on our site or in our marketing that we see fit. Some of the prizes being given out are $50 cash, 3 clumps of our choice random daylilies, 5 clumps of our choice random daylilies, 2 clumps of our choice random daylilies, 10 clumps of our choice, random daylily and everyone who contributes and sends us photos will receive $10 off a future purchase as long as they fail to win any of the other 5 prizes. With that said, everyone wins. The Picture Submission Contest will be going on until August 4th of this year. You can submit new photos or photos you have of our daylilies from years ago.
We have closed the business already for 2025 due to construction, but we will still be running the picture contest thru September.

Also, note that we will not be uploading photos to our database in the online store just because we have them. If the photos are not quality photos then we will list the picture as unavailable and will get photos added when we get some good quality photos. I have several photos I took with a professional camera and next year I intend to take more. The problem is I cannot build a website from scratch, build a website by myself, file for a new business by myself and catch the gardens up as well as add all of these changes to the farm and expect to have time for taking enough photos in a window of just a few months. It isn't mathmatically possible. If I take the pictures all by myself it wil ltake me a few years to have enough and to catch them all at their bloom time. I don't have the time or ability to do pictures every day. Especially when the window of time for good quality pictures falls at the same time as my hybridizing window.
